A Bit about BIST....

All of the students at Reagan have begun their journey to success!  We just finished our second year of the Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST) model for our school.  Your child may have mentioned terms, such as: Safe Seat, Buddy Room, new school rules, and/or common expectations, among others.  Each week, we will be providing an explanation of those terms and examples of how they are used in the classroom, and we'll give ideas of how you can support your child at home.

Our two school rules are: It is never okay to be hurtful; and It is never okay to be disruptive.  We utilize these rules in all of our conversations with students regarding behavior.  We want all students to know and feel that Reagan is a safe place for all children to learn and grow.  At Reagan, our goal is to provide each student with what he or she needs to be successful in life.
